Welcome to GYNG
Supporting children, young people and their families in our local community.
About Us
GYNG WAS ESTABLISHED IN Gorey in 1995.
In 2009 we moved here to our centre on the Mary Ward lane, which is situated on the site of Gorey Community School.
From here we operate a full-time community creche, Little Daisies who are funded by Pobal. We currently have 152 children registered for these services, Baby Room, Toddler, Preschool, Ecce and afterschool.
We manage a full time Youth Service, offering a wide range of supports and programs for children and young people aged 8-24. All groups in our busy timetable are fully funded and there is no cost to those who avail of our services.
The RISE Project was established in 2020 and works with young people aged 12-17 who have been referred by their Social Worker, It uses outdoor recreation and adventure therapy as a tool to engage with at risk teens in need of additional support. Gorey Youth Services and The RISE Project is funded by Tusla Child & Family Agency.
Gorey Training Initiative, a full time Community based Training programme funded by The WWETB. We currently offer two courses to our learners, Sports and Recreation and Information Communication Technology at a QQI Level 4 on the National Framework. Learners can opt to progress to a second year to complete their Level 5.
